Private apartment, terraced house renovation in Helsinki

In the renovation of a Helsinki townhouse, the residents’ bathrooms were also renewed. When renovations are carried out in a housing association, there may be a lot of restrictions on behalf of the housing association. ​

In this home, the resident wanted large tiles for her own bathroom, which would be continuous on the floor and wall surfaces. However, this brought its own challenges regarding the floor drain, as a traditional small floor drain cover can be visually more challenging to implement with large tiles, and the uniformity of the surfaces may suffer. A solution to this problem was found with the help of a tiled linear floor drain, Vieser Line.​​
